Step-by-Step Instructions for the Perfect Slow Cooker Pasta
1. Layer the Nests Place your dry angel hair pasta nests into the bottom of the slow cooker. Try to keep them in a single layer if possible, though a slight overlap is fine.
2. Add the Liquids Pour the entire jar of marinara sauce over the nests. Follow this by pouring the 2 cups of broth into the empty marinara jar, shaking it to get every last bit of sauce, and then pouring that over the pasta. Ensure the nests are mostly submerged.
3. The Creamy Touch Scatter the cubes of cream cheese over the top of the liquid. Do not stir yet!
4. Slow Cook to Perfection Cover and cook on High for 1 to 1.5 hours. Angel hair is very delicate, so it does not need much time. Check at the 1-hour mark; the pasta should be tender but not mushy.
5. The Final Toss Once the pasta is cooked, open the lid and gently stir the nests to incorporate the melted cream cheese into the sauce. The result will be a creamy, rose-colored sauce that smells incredible.
