The Instructions
-
Preheat and Prep: Crank your oven to 400°F. Grab a medium-sized baking dish (9×13 or a deep oval ceramic dish) and give it a very light spray with non-stick oil.
-
The Assembly: Toss your cubed chicken directly into the dish. Pour the entire jar of creamy sauce over the top. Use a spoon to give it a quick stir, ensuring every piece of chicken is well-coated.
-
The Topping: Spread the shredded cheese in an even layer across the top. If you happen to have dried parsley or thyme in the cupboard, feel free to sprinkle a pinch on top for aesthetics, but it’s not required for the magic to happen.
-
The Bake: Slide it into the oven for 25–30 minutes. You’re looking for the chicken to be cooked through and the cheese to be bubbling and speckled with golden-brown spots.
-
The Rest: Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the sauce to thicken up so it coats the chicken perfectly.
Serve it as-is for a low-carb hug in a bowl, or spoon it over some quick-cook pasta or crusty bread to soak up every last drop of that sauce. Enjoy the silence of a meal that didn’t require a single thought!
