Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped imitation crab meat, softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped green onions, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix everything together until well combined.
- Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place about a teaspoon of the crab and cheese mixture in the center of the wrapper.
- Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper.
- Fold the wonton wrapper diagonally to create a triangle shape. Press the edges to seal the filling inside, ensuring there are no air pockets.
- Moisten the two bottom corners of the triangle and bring them together, pressing to seal. This will give your Crab Rangoon a traditional shape.
- Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- In a deep skillet or pot, heat enough oil for frying over medium heat. The oil should be around 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place the prepared Crab Rangoon in the hot oil, a few at a time. Fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy, usually about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried Crab Rangoon from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
- Serve the Crab Rangoon with dipping sauces of your choice, such as sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, or a spicy chili sauce.
- Enjoy your Mozzarella Cheese Crab Rangoon while they’re still warm and crispy!
Remember to exercise caution when working with hot oil, and never leave it unattended while frying.
