Instructions
-
Boil the Water: Bring 1 cup of distilled water to a rolling boil in a small pot.
-
Steep the Cloves: Add the whole cloves to the boiling water, then immediately lower the heat. Let it simmer for about 5 to 7 minutes until the water takes on a rich, golden-amber hue.
-
Cool and Infuse: Turn off the heat, cover the pot with a lid, and let the cloves steep for at least 1 hour as the liquid cools to room temperature. This ensures maximum potency.
-
Combine: Strain the liquid to remove all the cloves. If you are using witch hazel for added toning benefits, stir it into the liquid now.
-
Bottle It: Pour your golden toner into a glass spray bottle.
How to Use & Store
Mist onto a cotton pad and gently sweep across your face, focusing heavily on areas with dark spots or acne scars. Keep this toner in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Note: Clove can be potent, so do a quick patch test on your jawline before your first full application.
Page 3: Fennel Seed Collagen-Boosting & Anti-Aging Toner
Introduction
As we age, our skin naturally loses its bounce and elasticity. Instead of chasing youth in a bottle of synthetic chemicals, look to your spice rack. Fennel seeds are rich in vitamins A, C, and E, as well as powerful antioxidants that fight free radicals. This refreshing green toner helps stimulate microcirculation, smooth out fine lines, and encourage natural collagen production for a plump, youthful look.
Ingredients
-
2 tablespoons Fennel seeds
-
1 cup Distilled water
-
3 drops Rosehip seed oil (optional, for extra anti-aging hydration)
Instructions
-
Crush the Seeds: Lightly bruise the fennel seeds using a mortar and pestle or the back of a spoon. Crushing them slightly breaks the outer shell, releasing the essential oils and nutrients more effectively.
-
Brew the Tea: Bring the distilled water to a boil, then pour it directly over the crushed fennel seeds in a heat-safe bowl or mug.
-
Steep and Cool: Cover the container to trap the steam and let the seeds steep for 20 to 30 minutes until the liquid cools down completely.
-
Strain and Enrich: Strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the seeds. If you want an extra boost of hydration, add a few drops of rosehip seed oil and shake well.
-
Bottle It: Transfer your fresh fennel toner into a spray bottle.
