Preparation Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mint: Thoroughly wash your fresh mint leaves under cold water. To release the beneficial oils and distinct aroma, gently clap the mint leaves between your hands or lightly bruise them with the back of a spoon before placing them into your favorite mug.

  2. Heat the Water: Warm up one cup of filtered water. You want it to be comfortably hot or warm, but avoid using boiling water, as extreme heat can degrade the delicate Vitamin C found in the lemon juice.

  3. Combine and Steep: Pour the warm water directly over the bruised mint leaves in your mug. Let the mixture steep for roughly 3 to 5 minutes so the water can absorb the natural flavors and antioxidants from the mint.

  4. Add the Citrus: Squeeze the juice of half a fresh lemon directly into the mug. Stir the mixture gently with a spoon.

  5. Enjoy: Drink this beverage slowly first thing in the morning to hydrate your body and encourage smooth digestion for the day ahead.
