Honey Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup warm water



Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan or a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the vegetable oil, honey, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until the batter is smooth.
  5. Add the warm water and mix until well combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Serve with whipped cream, fresh fruit, or a dusting of powdered sugar, if desired.
