Slow-Roasted Garlic Butter Pork

Instructions

  • Prep the Meat: Season the roast heavily on all sides with salt and pepper. If you have time, sear it in a hot pan for 2 minutes per side to get that golden crust shown in your photo.

  • The “Low and Slow” Method: * Slow Cooker: Place the meat and potatoes in the crockpot. Top with the garlic butter. Cover and cook on LOW for 7–8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.

    • Oven: Place in a heavy pot (Dutch oven). Add the potatoes and garlic butter. Cover tightly and bake at 150°C (300°F) for about 3 to 4 hours until the meat shreds with a fork.

  • The Finish: Once the meat is tender, use two forks to pull it apart slightly. Spoon the melted garlic butter and juices from the bottom of the pan back over the meat and potatoes before serving.

  • Serving: Serve straight from the pan for that rustic, “restaurant-style” look.
