Prep the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Combine: In a 9×13 inch baking dish, pour in the bag of refrigerated tortellini and the entire jar of sauce. Stir them together until every piece of pasta is well-coated. If the sauce seems very thick, you can splash about 1/4 cup of water into the empty jar, shake it, and add it to the dish to ensure there’s enough moisture for the pasta to soften.
Top with Cheese: Spread the shredded mozzarella evenly over the top.
Bake: Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Broil: Remove the foil and bake for another 5–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and has those signature brown “pizza” spots.
Serve: Let it sit for a couple of minutes to let the sauce thicken up before serving.
A Couple of Variations
The “Pink” Version: Use a jar of Vodka sauce or Alfedo mixed with Marinara for an extra creamy finish.
The Crispy Edge: If you like the edges of the pasta a bit crunchy, don’t stir the pasta halfway through—let those top bits of tortellini “toast” under the cheese.
