Foil Packet Strawberry Cobblers

How to Make Them

1. Prep the Fruit In a medium bowl, toss your sliced strawberries with the sugar. Let them sit for about 5 to 10 minutes. This process, called macerating, helps the berries release their natural juices, creating a built-in sauce for your cobbler.

2. Assemble the Pockets Cut four large squares of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Place a portion of the sugared strawberries in the center of each square. Take one biscuit, tear it into small bite-sized pieces, and scatter them over the top of the berries. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of melted butter over the biscuit pieces in each packet.

3. Fold and Seal Bring the edges of the foil together and fold them down to create a sealed pouch. Make sure to leave a little bit of headspace inside the packet so the biscuit dough has room to rise and expand as it cooks.

4. The Cooking Process

  • Slow Cooker Method: Place the foil packets in your slow cooker. Cover and cook on High for 2 to 3 hours or until the biscuits are golden and cooked through.

  • Oven Method: Place packets on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 to 20 minutes.

  • Grill/Campfire Method: Place on a grate over medium heat for about 12 to 15 minutes, rotating occasionally.
