Hamburger Steak with Mushroom Gravy



Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, almond flour, egg, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the hamburger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the patties from the skillet and set them aside on a plate.
  4. In the same skillet, add the butter and sliced mushrooms. Cook the mushrooms until they become tender and start to brown, about 5 minutes.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and bring it to a simmer. Let it cook for a few minutes until the liquid reduces slightly.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and dried thyme. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the gravy thickens.
  7. Season the mushroom gravy with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Return the hamburger steaks to the skillet, coating them with the mushroom gravy. Cook for another minute or so, making sure the steaks are heated through and well coated with the gravy.
